Resin Casting Policies: Price quotes given intially are estimates only and do not including shipping the casts back to you unless indicated otherwise in our email to you. There will be additional charges for more complex pieces or those that may require additional reinforcement and/or bases.

  • Special consideration will be given for volume purchasing and for those who pay for their entire cost of the run up front.
  • Payment for molds and castings needed at time of order must be paid in full before casting process begins. Please see below for payment options.
  • Client can pay for resin bodies as needed or if a client needs a certain quantity. Horses will not be cast and shipped until payment is received.
  • Manufacturing problems with orders must be reported within 7 days of receipt of shipment. We will work with you to ensure your satisfaction of our casting services. If a resin (or resins) need to be replaced, we will require that the damaged resin(s) be(are) returned to us before a replacement (or replacements) is(are) sent out.
  • DaBar Enterprises retains the ownership rights of the molds. The molds will be destroyed upon the run’s completion.
  • Turnaround time is approximately 8 to 12 weeks after the receipt of the mold master and mold payment, but is contingent upon the workload at the shop. Actual turnaround time will be determined when the client places the resin cast order. There may be an additional charge for rush orders.
  • We do not guarantee the number of castings a mold will produce. The more undercuts a sculpture has, the less likely the mold will last. You will be responsible for the additional mold costs if a new mold is made/needed
  • DaBar is proud of its quality resin castings, but the castings will only be as good as the original master. DaBar recommends that masters are made from a material that remains stable even when shipped and/or cast. Please make sure every effort is made to protect the integrity of your master when shipping to DaBar. If there is significant damage during shipping to the master, DaBar will contact the client to discuss options.
  • The mold-making process can be a violent one, and those masters made from softer materials run the risk of being damaged/destroyed. We will make every effort to protect the integrity of your master during the molding process so we can return it to you when finished. But even with the hardest masters, sometimes we cannot save it from being destroyed during the molding process, therefore we cannot guarantee that the master can be returned intact.
  • DaBar reserves the rights to retain one or two castings from each casting job we handle. These will be held onto to for future castings if the client decides later to expand the run after the molds are destroyed. DaBar may also use these castings as samples on display at trade shows, model horse events, advertising/marketing, and on DaBar’s website at www.dabar1.com.
